Crossing the threshold into Christmas through Laudato Si: Our Journey on Caring for our Common Home

Laudato Si's journey in the Western Cape and in South Africa during 2020 has been enlightening and fulfilling, even though it has been a year of struggle and trials with the Coronavirus that is still hanging over the world.

We are all part of this seamless garment that Pope Francis uses as an analogy to illustrate that we are all interconnected and interdependent on one another. We cannot live and work in our own silos, we need to step out and embrace each other and all of God's Creation and work together.

As we cross the threshold into Christmas, let's gently step into this wonderful season with renewed hope and a desire to give ourselves as gifts of love to all those close to us and to the communities around us.

The youth are leading the way, to follow their events, prayer services, activities, action, and communications on every level go to Together4Creation. Spread the Together4Creation news by telling your youth to join in to grow this very powerful group who are making a visible impact.

Holy Mass in Nature. brought the understanding that

"In the Eucharist, fullness is already achieved; it is the living centre of the universe, the overflowing core of love and of inexhaustible life. Joined to the incarnate Son, present in the Eucharist, the whole cosmos gives thanks to God. Indeed the Eucharist is itself an act of cosmic love:" LS 236.

The Laudato Si message is that we all need to start our own Ecological Conversion Journey towards Integral Ecology as Brothers and Sisters All.

Happy Christmas and may 2021 be a gentle year of healing and growing closer to each other with all of creation.
